Preschool Teacher – Anticipated

MACS Preschool Teacher – 4 year olds

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated preschool teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 4 years old. The preschool teacher will be responsible for fostering a love of learning, supporting social and emotional development, and preparing children for kindergarten.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of 4-year-olds.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Encourage the development of early literacy, math, and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and play.
  • Observe and assess each child’s development and progress, maintaining detailed records.
  • Establish clear classroom rules and routines while maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of the children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, behavior, and development.
  • Foster positive social interactions and teach conflict resolution skills.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining classroom materials, supplies, and displays.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for the children.
  • Promote positive behaviors and support the emotional well-being of children.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, preferred.
  • NHCIS Credential or NHDOE early childhood certification, preferred.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early education.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of young children.
  • Ability to create a fun, stimulating, and structured learning environment.
    Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move around the classroom for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., classroom materials, children’s belongings).
  • Comfort with active play and participation in outdoor activities with children.

Work Environment:

  • Preschool classroom with various learning stations and activity areas.
  • Noise level typically moderate to high during classroom activities.
  • Regular interaction with young children, parents, and staff.
