Some typical daily responsibilities include:
- Developing lessons and teaching to the MACS middle school population (6th, 7th, and 8th grade)
- Maintaining grades for the students and discussing progress with parents
- Communicating effectively in writing and verbally to parents and other stakeholders
- Overseeing the emotional and social development of the students
- Able to utilize hands-on teaching methods
- Integrating competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
- Monitoring students’ interactions and nurturing cooperation, kindness, and empathy
- Implementing RTI within the classroom
- Experience with differentiated small group instruction
- Progress monitoring and assessment experience
- Data tracking
- Duties as assigned
- Working closely with administration, staff, and other teachers – collaborative approach
A successful candidate possesses strength in communication, patience, the ability to enforce behavioral
expectations, and a positive approach. NH certification in Elementary (K-8) or Middle School Math, or SOE
(Statement of Eligibility) is preferred. Applicants with 2-3 years of experience in the classroom are desired.
